2013 Watershed Day At The Capitol, April 24, 2013

Overview

Wednesday, April 24, 2013, 8:30 am – Noon
CalEPA Building
1001 I Street
Sacramento, CA

Watershed Day is a great opportunity to learn about the political climate regarding the future of watershed restoration in California. It also provides a forum for watershed practitioners and restorationists to meet with their Legislators and let them know that it pays to invest in community-based watershed management.

This year's event continues the California Watershed Network's annual outreach program that first began in 2002 for watershed restorationists, state agency representatives and legislators.

Confirmed speakers include Senator Fran Pavley, State Water Board Member Steve Moore and Department of Conservation Director Mark Nechodom!

The program will examine the opportunities and constraints in obtaining funding and establishing sustainable jobs for watershed restoration activities throughout the State. The event begins at 9:00 a.m. at the CalEPA Building in Sacramento. Registration is only $30 before April Fools Day, $40 in April.
